Most Interesting Wing Suit Pilot in the World

Jeb Corliss has joined the Megastar Team as a Judge and Mentor. Who is this guy?

Well, he jumps off buildings. 🏢 And bridges. And mountaintops. And airplanes. 🛩 And into Superbowl Sunday arenas. And flies in a wing suit allowing him to control his flight incredibly tightly.

So what does he do then? He decides to take it one step further and become an extreme proximity flier (meaning he flies as close to really big and really high things as possible at incredible speeds). You know this because he pops the balloon attached to that rock! Yes! (Yikes! 😱)

What he does is scary but thrilling to watch. And we’re sure, it’s scary but thrilling to do.

This is his art. This is his passion. And we sat down with him to find out how he does it, and how he feels about other artists and their passions.

Jeb, you are perhaps most famous for the "Grinding the Crack" performance. 😱(FANS, you have got to see this.) Was that when you knew you made it?

The Grinding the Crack jump was done for a special on ABC’s 20/20 called Super Humans. I did a series of jumps for the program and when the project was complete I honestly didn’t think about it again. It was just another of almost 50 jumps I had done at that location. I thought the footage was cool but moved on to my next project.

Within 3 days of posting it got over 3 million views. I was actually a bit shocked. It’s now at over 32 million.

But I guess you are really asking if there was a single moment when I knew I had made it. I don’t think I have ever thought of things in those terms. I have had such a strong burning passion for human flight that just being able to do it was making it for me. As long as I was doing it I was making it every single time. From the moment I started jumping I was happy and had an overwhelming sense of being complete.

You risk your life every time you make a jump. You say you're not an adrenaline junkie. Really? 🤔If it's not the rush, what motivates you?

My motivation has changed over the years. Why I did it when I was 20 was different from why I did it when I was 30 which is different than why I do it now at 40. It has changed and evolved as I have.

In the beginning I was trying to figure out who I was and what I was capable of. It was a personal test to really learn about myself. In my 30s it became about the show, the process. Could I get the permits to do it legally and tell a compelling story? I was trying to make the productions as big and elaborate as possible.

Now I know who I am and what I am capable of. I know I can get the permits and do the massive live shows. I have found peace. I am calm and no longer feel the need to prove things to myself or anyone else. I have become happy to just be alive. I feel I can now help others on their journey to self realization.

Why did you choose to be a judge for Megastar? ⭐

It’s time for me to give back. I have been very fortunate in my life and I have seen things many people wouldn’t believe. Now I want to help others see them too. I want to help inspire people to follow their passion. Megastar can help me do this.

What is the most important message you want to send to Megastar Performers? ⭐🙌

Make sure you are doing this for the right reasons. Make sure this is truly what you are passionate about. If this is a true passion for you, never give up. Never stop. You must be willing to sacrifice everything. I had to be willing to die for my passion and I truly hope you are willing to make sacrifices for yours. Because then, success is guaranteed…

Besides winning the grand prize, 💰🙌💸what is your hope for Megastar winners?

I hope it makes them happy and pushes them closer to realizing their dreams. Being able to earn a living from doing what you love is the life goal of most people. Megastar puts you on that path…
